I was looking around and one site said black nail polish but that also would be unable to see through i think. i do not want to use a spray on tint because i would have to take the windows out in order to do so. Some site said they go to a local tint shop and take the scraps but i do not know of any in my town. You could try dying them. It would involve taking the windows out but a product like RID dye would work. You could alter the darkness by how long you leave them in for. I have not tried, but what if you tried dunking the top in a concentrated food coloring, then wiping the metal? That may not work but I know the dye will.
