HistoryThe Semitic Pê (mouth), as well as the Greek Π or π (Pi), and the Etruscan and Latin letters that developed from the former alphabet, all symbolized /p/, a voiceless bilabial plosive. UsageIn English and most other European languages, P is a voiceless bilabial plosive. Both initial and final Ps can be combined with many other discrete consonants in English words. A common example of assimilation is the tendency of prefixes ending in N to assume an M sound before Ps (such as "in" + "pulse" → "impulse" — see also List of Latin words with English derivatives). A common digraph in English is "ph", which represents the voiceless labiodental fricative /f/, and can be used to transliterate Phi (φ) in loanwords from Greek. Most P & L statements show sales based on invoice totals. When people are invoiced, it is expected that they will pay for the merchandise. On the balance sheet, there is an Account for Accounts Receivable. When money is received from customers, it reduces AR and increases Cash. If the collections department decides that an invoice is uncollectable, AR is reduced and the expense account "bad debt writeoffs" is charged. That bad debt expense account is on the P & L statement, and as it grows, it reduces net income. Make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich like normal only mix the peanut butter and jelly and spread it on one slice of bread. Mix 2 eggs and 1/4 cup of sugar and dip the sandwiches in the egg. Melt butter in a skillet or on a griddle and cook the sandwiches on both sides for 4 minutes per side on low-medium heat, a little longer if you want it a little darker.
