How do you port subs through the first aid kit in a 1994 e320?
Q. i have 2 12" kicker L5's in my 1994 e320 and i heard that you can cut through where the first aid kit is in the back to get more sound in the car from the subs. does anyone know how to do this?

A. I wouldn't do it through the first aid kit. Take out the back seat, then the rear parcel shelf (which holds the first aid kit) and you'll notice that the chassis has many holes of which to port a tube. Choose the appropriate one and cut into the parcel shelf. You may want to dampen the shelf with acoustic treatment like Dynamat before finishing. Also, take out the first aid kit and dampen the enclosure. Otherwise it will rattle and buzz- drives me crazy when people take short cuts on acoustic treatment. Also, don't listen to the bozo that said why would you do such a thing to a fine auto. They obviously believe that the junky Becker system with a cassette tape is a GREAT system. A. The typical first aid kit you would purchase from a store would include: Band aids (all sizes) Gauze (rolls as well as different sized squares) Medical tape Scissors (in case clothing needs to be cut away from a wound) A bottle of eye wash Tweezers Alcohol pads Popsicle sticks/tongue depressors (Can be used for finger splints) A few Q-Tips Gloves (if worried about latex allergies, you can get the non-latex variety) Antiseptic hand wipes Instant Hot and Cold Pack (more than one if you want to be prepared to treat heat stroke) Antacid tablets Allergy tablets Triple Antibiotic Ointment Insect sting relief Tylenol/Aspirin/Ibuprofen (keep in mind that some people may have sensitivity to aspirin, and it may be a good idea to have more than… [cont.]
