How long does foundation stay good for after being opened?
Q. I have a bottle of liquid foundation which I've had for a year, but I've hardly used any of it. I also have a pot of powder foundation which is 2-3 years old, and has been opened for all this time. Are they okay to use or should I throw them out?

A. Water based liquid foundations can last up to 12 months after being opened. I think powdered foundations are more like eye shadows which can last up to 3 years. But I don't think you should be using it after 3 years, bacteria can build up in the product after time so I think you should toss them and treat your self to some new make up.
