But a shortcut isn't going to have game statistics. That's something the game itself creates, and you'd have to write a program (a separate one for each game) to do that. This is actually related to a rule in mathematics: 2^(n-1) + 2^(n-2) + ... + 4 + 2 + 1 = 2^n - 1 But it's more obvious than that! Just think. How many teams need to be eliminated to have one left?
