A. Unlike Chinese Sanskrit does not use characters so there are no symbols, just words. The Sanskrit word for read/recite is paTha. pATha is the word for lesson. and pAThashala is the word for school. Sanskrit usually uses the Devanagari script. You can type the root "paTha" into a Sanskrit grammar engine to get it in the Devanagari.

What is the Hindu symbol or Sanskrit word for Healing?
Q. I am looking for a Hindu symbol or Sanskrit word for Healing. About 6 months ago I cut my left wrist. I was sick with internal pain due to my husband telling me to leave because he wanted a divorce. I now see that my actions caused nothing but, physical scars onto myself. The divorce actually freed me from a very controlling and toxic marriage. So, I want to cover part of my scars with a healing symbol or word.
