    USA Edition of Monopoly

    Monopoly Board Game

    Everyone knows about the game Monopoly where you buy landmarks and hotels and take chance, try and avoid jail and travel round the board trying to avoid landing on opponents property’s. Many different versions exsist and the properties used are normally based on the location or film/TV featured.

    Chemistry Set Toy History

    Did you have a Chemistry set when you were younger? The original Chemistry set was released by the A.C. Gilbert Co. in 1923. Originally marketed solely to boys, the kit was designed to teach basic chemistry skills, but by today’s standards, it would likely be watered down to ensure it was safer and did not become as security risk.

    They went on to sell millions of sets over the next 30 years. Eventually, even girls were acknowledged by the manufacturers — but only to assist… A Gilbert’s Lab Technician Set for Girls was released in the 1950s, cloaked in reassuring pink shades.     Glo Friends

    Glo Friends was a line of toys which were released in 1986 by Playskool following a TV series segment of My Little Pony, they were made of soft vinyl and glowed in the dark. (This was related to Glo Worm being introduced in 1982)The story is they lived in Glo Land a magical kingdom where they harvested moondrops which allowed them to keep going and resulted in the ability to glow in the dark. The second half of the TV segment rotated between Glo Friends, MoonDreamers, and Potato Head Kids.

    Snakes and Ladders aka Chutes and Ladders

    Snakes and Ladders is known worldwide (aka Chutes and Ladders) originates from an Ancient Indian game.  First released by MB games and later on by Hasbro it is a board game for 2 or more players.  Players roll a dice and move their piece on the board.  Landing on a Snake (or Chute) means that the players piece moves back squares and Ladders allow the players piece to move up squares.  The first player to reach the end square  wins.     Porsche the well know Sports car maker is rolling out a new model it hopes will attract younger drivers.

    The Porsche new Go-Kart pedal car is designed for children at age 5 and can accommodate kids who are as much as 5 feet tall and a maximum weight of 110 pounds.

    The car weighs a svelte 55 pounds, the car maker said, this is because the unique chassis structure that includes composite parts and a drivetrain setup which is borrowed from high-end bicycles.

    Stickle Bricks are a plastic toy used for constructing, playing and gaining co-ordination primarily aimed at toddler age group. The Stickle Brick was invented in 1969 by Denys Fisher, the brand is now owned by Hasbro and currently made by Flair Leisure Products plc.
